Accessibility Statement

GEMMYS considers accessibility an essential part of the experience, and works to make this website easy to use and available to everyone, including people with disabilities.

The standard we aim for

The website was built in line with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 5773-2013, and Israeli Standard 5568 at level AA, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines. We tested the website with automated checks and a manual check of keyboard navigation, but it has not had an external accessibility audit. Some parts of it may therefore not yet be fully accessible.

Adjustments made

Semantic structure: hierarchical headings, navigation and content regions, and lists.
Full keyboard navigation, a visible focus indicator and a "Skip to content" link at the top of every page.
Labels on all form fields, and clear error messages that are announced by screen readers.
Alternative text for images, and a note on links that open in a new tab.
Color contrast that meets level AA, and support for larger text and for mobile devices.
Respect for the operating system's "reduce motion" setting: animations are replaced by a static display.
An accessibility tab at the side of the screen: larger and smaller text, high contrast, highlighted links and paused animations.

Known limitations

The laptop and phone displays on the home page are a visual presentation of our work and are not interactive. Each has a text description and a link to the live website.
The external project websites are not under our control, and their accessibility level may differ.
